Aadi Story
Day-16

Sri Mata Vaishno Devi resides in a holy cave believed to be more than a million years old in the Trikuta mountains in Jammu. Once Adi Parashakti's 3 powers- Durga, Lakshmi & Saraswati merged together to create a beautiful girl of extraordinary brilliance called Vaishnavi. She took birth in the house of a man named Ratnakar in South India. She left home to satisfy Her spiritual cravings and was visited by Lord Rama during His exile. She desired to merge into Him but He said He would visit Her at the end of His exile. He did visit Her in the form of an old man but She could not recognize Him. Rama then directed Her to meditate in the Trikuta Hills and wait for His Kalki incarnation. Meanwhile Pandit Sridhar, a great devotee of Devi decided to conduct a huge Bhandara(community meal) with Devi's blessings. A large no. of guests turned up at his hut but were easily accomodated due to Devi's blessings. Vaishnavi had appeared in the form of a young girl and helped him conduct the bhandara. At the bhandara, a sanyasi called Bhaironath who was charmed by Her beauty forced her to marry him but She escaped. He followed Her and was eventually beheaded by Her at the entrance of the main cave. His head landed at the place where the Bhairon Mandir stands today, a visit to which is considered necessary to complete the Vaishno Devi Yatra. Devi resides here in the form of 3 natural rock formations-Kali,Lakshmi & Saraswati from right to left.
She fulfills all Her devotees' wishes and every person whom She wishes to see is bound to reach Vaishno Devi, no matter what. Jaikara Sherawali ka - bol sacche darbar ki Jai
